Instruction to the Experiment

Try to evaluate all the sounds (phonemes) of the English language on the proposed scales.
You will be given some words which contain the sound. The words do not represent any significance to the experiment and are given as sound examples only.

Example: What do you feel about the sound (like in both, theater)

  • Evaluate as accurately as possible.
  • Answer every item.
  • If you make a mistake or change your mind, please return to the previous window and make the selection that best fits how you feel toward the stimulus.
  • Do not think too long. There are no right or wrong answers.

Please complete questionnaire as soon as possible. It would be the best to do it at once since major changes in your mood later may interfere with the results. Though, you can stop and come back to this questionnaire, the results you provided earlier will not be lost.

Thank you for your cooperation
